ABOUT
MISSION AND HISTORY
The Abracadabra Foundation (501c3) is an organization that targets economically and socially challenged high school girls. Abracadabra, which started as a small project by three best friends in 2009, providing prom dresses and a “Cinderella Moment”, has evolved into a movement. Since 2009, the Abracadabra Prom Project has impacted over 400 homeless and low-income high schools girls. These girls have been gifted prom dresses, while lifting self-esteem and providing confidence to drive these young women past their circumstances. Abracadabra continued to evolve and began hosting mentoring retreats – intimate sessions with a smaller group of approximately 20 girls with topics covering from social stereotypes and self-branding, to networking and relationship building. In Spring 2014, Abracadabra hosted its first College Tour, which today exposes nearly 30 girls each summer to a new dream and vision of what their future can be. Abracadabra continued to grow it's impact and now also offers Scholarships to previous Abracadabra program participants.
Our Vision

We believe that one moment can transcend circumstances, one moment can change the course of your life, and one moment can last a lifetime. Therefore, our mission is to impact the lives of young girls by creating impactful, memorable, and life-changing experiences and programs that motivate, inspire, and enable young women to dream bigger and work harder than ever to achieve those things which were once unimaginable, unattainable and beyond their reach.
